Bourraq launch ad: the family group

Bourraq. How it was made with Ice Motion Director, from the prompt to the delivered film.

The prompt

We want to make a marketing video for Bourraq aimed at ordinary Egyptians, in semi-formal Egyptian colloquial. See if there is a repo like that which can help you; use agy-delegate to prepare everything for the video, the whiteboard and all of it, even the style: you can suggest and I may also suggest from Pinterest. In the end you create the video after I approve the scripts and media. It is an ad saying Bourraq is now here so people use it, and please learn from the big local apps in Egypt in the same category.

Start to delivery runs from the first prompt to the delivered film; active work leaves out waiting for answers and usage-limit pauses. Work after delivery, such as the case study export and the site translations, is not counted.

How it got here

The run as it happened, step by step, from the prompt to delivery, on the run's own clock.

  1. The prompt

One message in Egyptian Arabic: a launch ad for Bourraq, the owner's grocery delivery app in 6 October and Sheikh Zayed, for ordinary Egyptians, learning from the big local apps in the same category.

  2. Watching the competitors

Competitor ads were downloaded and transcribed, not just read about. The app itself was rebuilt on an emulator and recorded fresh: the search for "مواعين", the vegetables, the cart and cash on delivery.

Watching the competitors: a frame the owner reviewed
  3. Five concepts

Five concepts with full scripts on one board. The family group chat won: Mama asks who will fetch the groceries, everyone is busy, Bourraq brings them.

  4. Sketches and a real map

Nine sketches with a real OpenStreetMap map of 6 October and Sheikh Zayed. The story then moved to the real world with the cartoon mascot acting inside it.

Sketches and a real map: a frame the owner reviewed
  5. Google Flow in the agent's browser

The owner signed in to Google himself in the agent's in-app browser. The agent turned off the visible watermark and made 18 reference images at 0 credits: chat profile photos, the only faces in the film, and hands and wardrobe for each character.

Google Flow in the agent's browser: a frame the owner reviewed
  6. Start frames, then video

Eleven start frames, then Veo 3.1 Quality clips at 100 credits each, every one upscaled to 1080p for free. Faces were cut out frame by frame, mirrors included, and the real logo was tracked onto the courier's box and jacket.

Start frames, then video: a frame the owner reviewed
  7. The build

Eleven scenes in HyperFrames: the WhatsApp-like family chat in Bourraq colours, the official mascot blinking and jumping out of Mama's phone, real app recordings in a drawn phone, the real map and the end card.

The build: a frame the owner reviewed
  8. Real details

Phone screens in AI shots show only glare or a reflection, cars carry Egyptian plates with nothing readable, and every clip shares one measured colour grade. 1,600 Flow credits across two Pro accounts in total.

  9. The real Bourraq AI

The in-app assistant was recorded live in a fresh conversation, the way a mother would ask: bread, milk and bananas for breakfast, product cards, add to cart.

The real Bourraq AI: a frame the owner reviewed
  10. Voice and music

The owner recorded the whole script in one take; it was cut at its silences and placed on the picture. One complete commercial track from its beginning, real sound effects, mastered at -13.9 LUFS.

  11. Delivered

A 47.4 s vertical film: a 1080 review copy and a 4K master. Every rule learned in the run was written down for the next Bourraq ad.

Delivered: a frame the owner reviewed

The workflow, stage by stage

All ten stages, from the brief to delivery: what each one decided and why, what it made, the critic rounds and the roles that worked on it.

  1. Stage 01, Brief

    Time not recorded

    Rolesresearcherdirector

Research came first: competitor ads (Breadfast, Rabbit, talabat, Instashop, noon, Halan) downloaded and transcribed, a product truth sheet of real features and claims, and fresh screen recordings of the latest app build on an Android emulator.

    Decision

    • Source of app screens

      • Old test screenshots
      • Fresh recordings of the latest buildChosen

The film shows the product working as it is today

    Made in this stage

    • Real app recordings from the latest emulator build: search, categories, cart, checkout
  2. Stage 02, Concept

    Time not recorded

    Rolesdirector

Five concepts with full scripts were written and shown on one board. The family WhatsApp-like group, where everyone is busy and Bourraq gets the groceries, went forward.

  3. Stage 03, Script

    Time not recorded

    Rolesdirector

The voiceover follows Egyptian narrator ads: two short questions, the turn "ولا يهمك", one idea per line, the brand alone with air around it, the download line last. Cairo words only. Every line was timed to its frame.

  4. Stage 04, Storyboard

    Time not recorded

    Rolesdirector

Nine sketches on a board, a real OpenStreetMap map of 6 October and Sheikh Zayed, then a new story: the real world with the cartoon mascot acting inside it, in eleven shots.

    Rolesdirectorgenerator

Google Flow in the agent's in-app browser, after the owner signed in himself. Nano Banana Pro made 18 reference images and 11 start frames at 0 credits; faces appear only in the chat profile photos. Veo 3.1 Quality animated the frames, 100 credits per 8 s clip, each upscaled to 1080p for free.

    Made in this stage

    • Chat profile photos, the only faces in the film (fictional people)
    • Hands and wardrobe references, one per character, attached to every frame
    • Start frames for the video clips
  6. Stage 06, Animatic

    Time not recorded

    Rolesdirector

The cut was reviewed live in HyperFrames Studio, scene by scene, instead of a separate animatic.

  7. Stage 07, Build

    Time not recorded

    Rolesdirector

Built in HyperFrames: the WhatsApp-like family chat in Bourraq colours, the official mascot animated by its parts (blinks, wink, brows, star), real app recordings in a drawn phone, the real map and the end card. The real logo and an Egyptian plate were tracked onto the AI footage, and every clip took one measured colour grade.

    Made in this stage

    • The real logo composited and tracked on the courier's box and jacket
    • The real Bourraq AI chat recorded on the emulator in a fresh conversation
    • A draft contact sheet
  8. Stage 08, Sound

    Time not recorded

    Rolesdirectorsound

The owner recorded the whole script in one take; it was cut at its silences and placed on the picture. One complete Pixabay track from its beginning, sound effects from HyperFrames and Mixkit, music ducked under the voice, master at -13.9 LUFS.

  9. Stage 09, Review

    Time not recorded

    Rolesdirector

Every AI take was checked frame by frame for faces, mirrors, readable screens, plates and impossible behaviour; scenes were paced to be read; the owner trimmed the timeline himself in Studio and his edits were kept.

  10. Stage 10, Deliver

    Time not recorded

    Rolesdirector

A 1080 review copy and a 4K master (2160x3840, CRF 10), 47.4 s, vertical. Every note of the run became a rule file for Bourraq customer marketing.
